Lightweight, interactive scene editor for MuJoCo 3.x. Create or edit scenes in your browser to place shapes, import meshes, add robots, and edit elements interactively.
mujoco-scene-editor is a lightweight, browser-based scene editor for MuJoCo 3.x designed for fast creation and modification of simulation environments.
Launch the editor from the command line with mjcreate to start a new scene or mjedit to load and interactively modify existing MJCF models. Users can place primitive geometries, import meshes, add robots, and export simulation-ready MuJoCo XML without manual file editing.
The tool also provides mjprompt, which generates an initial scene from a natural-language prompt using ChatGPT. Generated scenes can be immediately opened in the editor and refined visually, enabling a rapid workflow from idea to simulation.
mujoco-scene-editor focuses on reducing friction between scene design and simulation through interactive editing, prompt-based generation, and clean MuJoCo-native output.
